The Rafters are up!
The Rio de Vida church family have dreamed of building a church sanctuary. Our Guatemalan brothers and sisters are truly grateful for North American support for the construction and operation of the schools, the medical clinic and agricultural project, but have had the desire to build this sanctuary where they will worship the Lord with their own sacrificial offerings. The first phase will include the foundation, supporting structure, and roof.

- Three congregations, each with a national leadership team, are all actively engaged in evangelism;
- The Guatemalan congregations have joined hands to build this sanctuary where they can all meet together once every six weeks for a Celebration Sunday of worship, hearing the Word of God, and prayer;
- A fourth congregation is beginning to form in the Village of Villa Nueva;
Many of these brothers and sisters had gathered around the perimeter of the sanctuary in April, 2012 to pray a prayer of dedication and were filled with anticipation. The Lord has been doing great things. Rita commented, “We all took our places on the perimeter of our future church sanctuary and with eyes of faith we envisioned many souls coming to Christ. We were reminded that “the time is short” and determined before God that we would focus our lives on seeing His Kingdom grow. “Lord, if we are going to be a testimony of your love and power, we need your Spirit to help us as we put our “hand to the plow” and never look back!”
