For me, there is nothing more troubling than watching a child suffer.
- A child with a relentless gnawing hunger and no prospect of being fed in the next 24 hours.
- A tormented child who can’t sleep at night for fear of the violence that will shatter their world when their alcoholic father comes home.
- A child with the debilitating pain that comes from four untreated abscessed teeth.
- A child with empty eyes and an aching heart whose innocence was stolen by the very person who was meant to protect and shield them from abuse.
- A child caught up in the ocultic practices that plunge them into hopeless cycles of darkness and fear.
- A child without hope…………
We see these children every day, we see them everywhere! It can be overwhelming. A video story of Dilcia, one of our students, has been created to share a story of hope in a world of overwhelming difficulty.
The Lord said, “Let the children come….”
He is calling, because He wants to provide relief and freedom.
Humanly speaking, we don’t have capability of meeting the multitude of needs around us. BUT, the Lord wants to restore these children. He wants to heal them and break the cycles that have held the Guatemalan people in bondage for hundreds of years. He wants to intervene in situations that seem hopeless… and He wants to SHOW HIS GLORY to the world by doing the IMPOSSIBLE.
We are seeing it happen! Our former students are now carrying the Lord’s vision forward to the children. A generation of godly leaders are now taking their places in Guatemala.
