Our 2016 mission trips season has begun and is now in full swing! We started off the year with a men’s team from Airdrie, Alberta. It is such a joy to witness the Lord moving in and through those who are willing to open their hearts to Him!
We eagerly anticipate Him doing so much more this year in the lives of the North American team members who will join us in Tactic, and also using them to touch the lives of many Guatemalans.
We are thankful for people like Peter Boothroyd, who came to give some teaching sessions to our worship leaders and high school class! We also look forward to the arrival of mechanics and a first aid instructor, and many more!
While Peter was in Guatemala he had the privilege of visiting the class he is supporting through our Support a Class program! He brought gifts for the class, and the children were very happy to meet him. We invite you to become a class supporter too! You can learn more about this opportunity here.
As teams come to Guatemala, the impact they have is widespread. They touch the lives of the Guatemalan people, in ways that often go unseen. Just the fact that people come all the way from North America to serve and be with Guatemalans clearly communicates the love of Jesus to this relational culture. The small acts of love, playing with the children, the ministry of prayer and practical help are a few of the tangible ways that teams are showing God’s love.
Thank you to each one who is giving of their time to serve in Guatemala! Thank you to those of you have already been, and for those who are planning to go! May God bless you abundantly!
If you are interested in joining or leading a team, we would love to hear from you. We still have a few spots open on our Sponsor Team in July, and our Seniors Team in October. To learn more, please contact Shelly Goosen, our Teams Coordinator, at teams@impactministries.ca.
