Current Opportunities
– help translate correspondence between sponsors and the children and classes they support, either English to Spanish or Spanish to English
– Spanish and English level of high intermediate or above required
– because our letters tend to come in batches, time commitment varies throughout the year
– join the team that helps manage, organize and process the photos, video clips, and other media used in Impact Ministries communications
Volunteer activities will be based on your skillset and can include:
– going through team-submitted photos to find the gems to use in Impact communications, websites & publications (an eye for great photos is required)
– organizing photos so that they’re available through the appropriate google photo accounts and albums
– creating video concepts based on existing clips and interviews
– storyboarding videos for future production
– identifying photos for upcoming campaigns from various in-house sources
– various other media-related tasks depending on skills and needs
– help put our voice-recorded testimonies and interviews into printed form so that we can share these stories with a wider audience
– no Spanish required for testimonies that are live-translated as they are recorded (you’ll be transcribing the English translation)
– we are also looking for individuals who can transcribe testimonies given in Spanish before they are passed on to our translation team
– most testimonies are collected between January and October, but volume varies throughout the year
– share the current needs of Impact Ministries with your church and in your community
– locally share your experiences of serving in Guatemala
– help organize local Impact Ministries events in your community to share what God is doing in Guatemala (optional)
– time commitment will vary according to your availability
– support the Impact Ministries booth at a local mission conference
– recent experience on an Impact Trip preferred
– see the events calendar for upcoming conferences
– coordinate and champion a local fundraiser in your church or community
– recruit others to join the fundraising campaign (optional)
