As we come to the end of sponsorship month, we want to say thank you one more time for sponsoring our kids and classes, for sharing about sponsorship, and for praying for our children and classes to find sponsors.
Why is sponsorship so important that it’s worth taking a whole month to celebrate? Because sponsorship tangibly changes futures. Children’s lives are impacted in practical ways when they receive things like education, school meals, uniforms, and access to medical care. But there’s more to it than that. Much more.
This is what teachers who were once students in our schools tell us:
When a child knows there is a person far away, who they may never have met, but who cares for them and is praying for them – that carries them through tough times, helps them believe that they have value, and marks their lives with hope.
These teachers know what it was like to have a sponsor. And they want that for every child in our Vida School. So do we.

Since the start of May, 19 more children in Guatemala now have sponsors, and sponsors have added 7 units of class sponsorship.
