Our Impact Story
We have had a heart for the mission of Impact Ministries since our first trip to Guatemala as part of a Short-term Mission Team in 2006. At that time God placed a yearning in our hearts to become more involved with the ministry, but due to our jobs and the ages of our children, we were not able to fully see what that would look like. We began doing what we could: leading several teams and volunteering in a variety of capacities, including as guesthouse hosts in Guatemala.
In 2018, we stepped into the role of Operations Managers for the US side of Impact Ministries. What we thought would be a temporary role lasted 7 years! During that time we provided operational oversight through communications, promotion, database and website management, and financial management, including fundraising, as well as working with the many volunteers who contribute to the ministry.
We are currently transitioning out of the Operations Managers roles to serve in more specific projects. During the transition, Scott continues as the Finance Manager for Impact Ministries USA while Julie is training the new Operations Manager.
We desire to continue the good work that has been started at Impact Ministries by the staff and volunteers who have committed so much time and effort to the ministry. We see changed lives, not just in Guatemala, but in the lives of North American Christians.
